Shishkin has been there or thereabouts but never topped the market, and the rock solid 6/4 favourite is now the returning ALLAHO for Willie Mullins and Cheveley Park. Gerri Colombe looked all set to make the trip over to Kempton for Gordon Elliott, but the team have had a change of heart (perhaps due to the presence of the current favourite) and he will instead head for a stunning Savills Chase clash with Galopin Des Champs and Fastorslow. Both are admirable horses, but not top tier and therefore his price has drifted somewhat. However, this season he has been turned over in both the Charlie Hall Chase by Gentlemansgame and Royale Pagaille in the Betfair Chase. At first it was defending champion Bravemansgame who held favouritism, with his handler confirming this was his main early season target and his fine record (first here, second in the Gold Cup) last season meaning he justifiably looked the favourite. There has been market moves aplenty leading into this iconic race as the national hunt season progressed.
